Have you ever stood at the edge of a stage in a sold out arena?
The noise is deafening. It eventually becomes silence.
The walls rise up on each side. Waves of hands reach up into the sky, dancing with synchronicity as the the energy resonates through your body.
This is it. This is your moment. The stage is yours.
This was the final destination after a two week road trip. In fact, I blasted through the Rocky Mountain's straight to the grand canyon. I almost missed this shot because my memory card reached full capacity. Needless to say, the view are quite literally breath taking. Despite seeing images of the Grand Canyon my whole life, noting is like seeing this work of art in person.
After sunrise, I scrambled along the edge looking for one more shot while the lighting was still soft and it slowly filled the canyon with light. When I came to this point, I knew it was perfect. The wind was raging and I did my best not to get too close to the edge in fear of the edge collapsing underneath me.
I was reminded what it felt like to be back at work. Standing at the edge of a stage in a sold out arena.
